Last Wednesday I ventured out in -4c! What a frost. I had a couple of hours in these artic conditions near the house so was able to go un-noticed by this female pheasant
Some absolutley cracking shots Mark; you have lost none of your technique. I am particulary envious of the Waxwigs as we were unable to find any when back in the UK for a couple of weeks in early November.
The lens is working well but I have yet to attach the 1.4 extender. However, disaster struck last Wednesday when up at Charca de Suarez. Wind actually picked up and took camera and lens (100-400 USM) off the shelf onto concrete floor. Filter "bent" at edge but all still working! I now have to try and get filter off to check lens proper. Thank goodness I still have the prime lens. To claim on the insurance or repair if necessary; too early to tell.
Off to Fuente, subject to present heavy rain subsiding, on Thursday in search of Common Crane.
